2. If you don't have snow pants, the staff at COP will NOT allow you to ski!
3. Last week I asked students who would be interested in participating in a MATH contest. Ms Swinton needs to know names of students will be participating. Please discuss the contest with your family and let me know.
Past contests can be found at http://blogs.mtroyal.ca/cesmc/sample-test/, and I would STRONGLY encourage any students considering participating to read through past questions. Grade 4 and 5 students write Level 1 (unless they really want a challenge), and Grade 6 students write Level 2. I will once again be running lunchtime prep sessions as we get closer to the contest date to go over some of the concepts that are likely to be included on the contest that are beyond grade level curriculum. All students who participate get certificates after the contest is marked, and students scoring in the top 25% of participants get a certificate of distinction.

I will once again be running lunchtime prep sessions as we get closer to the contest date to go over some of the concepts that are likely to be included on the contest that are beyond grade level curriculum. All students who participate get certificates after the contest is marked, and students scoring in the top 25% of participants get a certificate of distinction.

1. Remembrance Day Assembly tomorrow at 10:40am. Students who belong in clubs such as Brownies, Scouts, etc. are welcome to wear their uniform. Choir can wear uniform.
2. We will hand out poppies tomorrow and are accepting donations.
3. Ms Ismail, our student teacher, taught her first lesson with us. We did a beautiful Remembrance Day art picture!
